Kojic and Gluthathione Soap Review

I’ve been using this brand for more than two years now. It’s KSA Magic.  But I only started using Kojic – Gluta Soap around middle of last year since it is a new product of KSA Magic.  Before, I only used KSA Magic’s Kojic Soap. 

I love this brand because I feel that they are selling a raw product which means that it has more kojic acid formula in it.  And as you can see on the picture, the ingredients are: Virgin Coconut oil, Kojic Acid, Glutathione Extract, Vitamin C, and Glycerin.  It can only be bought at Watson’s. I tried searching it in other stores and groceries, but they don’t have it.

This product that I am now featuring, the Kojic – Gluta Soap is a combination of Kojic Acid and Glutathione that claims to give a faster whitening result. 

But first, let’s talk about each formula separately.  Kojic is known to get rid of acne or pimple scars, it can also aid in acne or pimple problems.  Aside from that, it can take away dark spots and other forms of skin blemishes.  It has a whitening effect since it exfoliates dead skin cells and it gives the skin a brand new look.

Glutathione is widely known for its skin whitening feature and just like Kojic Acid, it helps whitens dark spots.  The soap gives a lightening effect, but the most effective way of achieving a whiter glowing skin is by taking glutathione in as a vitamin, which is available in drugstores. 

Now, combining both would probably give an outstanding result.  Well, personally, I didn’t get the expected result but I am sticking to this product because it fits my skin type.  I have a dry scaly skin on the arms and on the legs and I need a soap that helps to exfoliate the dead skin cells.  My skin is smoother and softer as compared before, but as to the whitening effect: I am lighter now, but not the celebrity-skin effect that I wanted.

Yes I love this product as of now, I’m still using it for my face and my entire body.  And you may wanna try it, it is less than Php 200.00 at any Watson’s store.

How to Spot a Fake Wunder Brow from an Original

I am a follower of the Facebook page of WunderBrow and I came across this article that they posted on how to spot a fake WunderBrow Gel from an original.  I felt that I have to share this to you guys so you would know.

The pictures that I will show are taken from their Facebook page.  It is important to know which ones are fake and which ones are original because, they're out on the market and you wouldn't know that what you have isn't genuine, it might compromise the product and give a bad name to it.

I have been seeing videos of make-up bloggers and experts on their reviews of the WunderBrow products, and they all agree that the products are amazing especially the foundation and the brow gel.  Well, I haven't tried any one of the products yet, but I will soon.  They're quite expensive, so I'm just waiting for the right time and need to set aside a budget for that.

Anyhow, here is how to spot a fake WunderBrow Gel from an original.

Double Lasting Foundation Etude House

I tried on Etude's Double Lasting Liquid Foundation.  It comes in liquid form and it stays on your face for 24 hours.  It has SPF 34 so it's safe to wear it outside when it is sunny.  It is very light it doesn't feel like you are wearing a liquid foundation.  

The first time I put this on was during my graduation day.  We had our graduation ceremony inside the school gym.  It has no airconditioner and there were around 1,500 people who were present.  Can you imagine how hot it was?  Oh, I live in a tropical country, and it is sunny almost everyday.  We had to go through the agonizing 4 hours ceremony and I imagined that my make-up would have melted even in the middle of it.  

But, amazingly!  My foundation stayed on and didn't melt even I was sweating the whole time.  My make-up lasted up until we had our lunch gathering, for a total of 6 hours.

Now, I'm using it every day, and Etude's liquid foundation is a confident booster.

My rating for Etude's Double Lasting liquid foundation is perfect 10!  It is not itchy, it is so light, it is perfect for my skin type, it blended well and most of all, it lasted for a long time.

I chose Vanilla because I'm fair but there are a lot of other tones available.  My friend got Sands, a tone which is a little bit darker than my shade.

Shopping for Make-ups!

Shopping for make-ups is always fun and enjoyable! Especially if the stores are on sale.  I really wanted to try on a liquid foundation but I have to choose the best since I don't want my face to end up slimy and gross, or worst, some parts erased because of my sweat.

Well, my skin type is dry to normal so it is not hard to find one that matches my skin type.


I also wanted to have a loose powder and a blush-on to match my foundation.  My friend, who is also a make-up lover herself went with me to Etude House and to Metro Ayala.

Guess what? I found everything I needed!  In my next posts, I will be putting a review on each of the items I bought.

These are the products I bought: Etude's Double Lasting Foundation, L'oreal Blush-on, Nichido Loose Powder, a foundation sponge, and a powder brush.


For now, I have some pictures of those I bought.  And I had freebies from Etude House which I loved the most.  Freebies are blessings! Wow!

Perfect make-up shopping day!

Etude Eyebrow Pencil

I like the Etude Eyebrow Pencil so much!  When I first saw this Eyebrow Pencil, I was interested with the pencil tip because it is rectangular in shape.  The previous ones I had were those with pointed tip, like the normal pencils.  I bought Etude Eyebrow Pencil because a friend recommended it and she’s right.  Now it has become one of my favorite brands.

I use shade no. 5 because it matches the color of my hair.  One tip in choosing eyebrow color is to find one that has the same color or is one shade darker than your hair.  The good thing about Etude Eyebrow pencil is that it defines your eye brows by filling the gaps in between.   It takes practice to achieve the perfect eyebrow shape.  I learned to draw mine by looking at youtube video tutorials on how to draw eyebrows.

For Etude Eyebrow Pencil, I give it a thumbs-up!

The Powder Mattes by Maybelline

I am a matte lover ever since I learned how to put on make-ups.  When I heard about The Powder Mattes, I had to get one, no not just one, but two!  I got them on sale and one is only at Php 199.00.  I love pink and red so I got the shades Pink Shot and Red-dy Red.

Do I love The Powder Mattes? Oh! I love them.  They're light and smooth.  They don't leave your lips feeling dry and heavy...yes their advertisement is true..the matte lipsticks that I had were dry that I had to put on a lip balm a few minutes before I put on the lipstick.

This one is just perfect for me.

   

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick

It’s been a long time since I had my last post.  Anyway, I need to share to you my latest favorite lipstick that my friend and I got on sale.  I’m referring to Revlon’s Color burst Matte Balm #250.  The color is “standout remarkable”.  If you want a full rich red matte color, this one is just right for you.  

Aside from the “head turner” color, this lipstick comes with a lip balm and from my experience it doesn’t make my lips dry.  Although you have to consider that each person has different skin type.

Well, you’ll just have to experience it yourself.  Here it is.
